What compels you to take a closer look at a new product? How can a product compete, not only with established brands but with the plethora of new products that are being introduced?
What if a diamond ring wrapped in an old paper is given to you? Would you wish to open it? The outside depicts the worth of the inside.
Here’s a workshop to sprinkle the value of this depiction that makes the inside shine!  Pack-a-nova is for the novel brains curious about the field of marketing.


Day 1 - 21.01.10

Session I - Graphic Design and its importance to marketing

Time - 9:30 am – 11:00 am
    • Process of choosing and making the design
    • Choosing the colour
    • Customer feedback

Session II - Package structures and its importance to marketing

Time - 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
    • The shapes
    • The functionality
    • Differences in packaging based on the product

Session III - Event

Time - 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Here’s an event to explore the importance of package in marketing a product with your innovative ideas.
   • Each team consists of 3 members.
   • Design a package based on your product.
   • Make a graphic design on the package.
   • Market the product justifying the reason for your package and graphic design.

The required materials for the event will be provided.


Session 1:

Entrepreneur & Conservationist, Shankar Iyer is the Founder/ Creative director of TRIBE 10 ADVERTISING, a leading advertising agency now with pan India operations. TRIBE 10 ADVERTISING now specializes in Brand Consulting & Creatives. Shankar Iyer has done his Graduation in Visual Communication from SRM College of Arts and Science and his Masters in Marketing and Communication from National Institute of Sales. Clients handled by TRIBE 10 include GAITONDE shoes, ASIANA HOTELS, Shakti Metdor, SIP Academy, GlobalArt India, HCL Technologies (TMG), HDFC Bank, NIPPON PAINT, Kleio, Trigger Jeans, Influence Spa & Restaurant etc.

Session 2:
Bimal Kumar Lakhotia is the Manager, Packaging Solutions, Britannia Industries Limited. He has done his PG Diploma in Packaging Technology from Indian Institute of Packaging and his MBA from the prestigious Xavier Institute of Management. A dab hand at innovating the packaging industry, he was a Research Scientist in Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited from 1998-2001. He then joined the Pepsico India Holdings Ltd as Manager, Packaging Development from 2001-2006. Mr. Bimal Kumar is currently the Manager, Packaging Solutions, Britannia. His honors include IndiaStar and Asiastar awards for Packaging Innovations and he is the recommended speaker on 'Consumer aspects on Packaging' from Frost & Sullivan.


    • The participants have to register individually.
    • The participants will be intimated through a confirmation mail.
    • No registration fee for the workshop.
